Now Luk Vervaet, but you are next!
The news that struck me the most during the past few days is the confirmation of a Belgian court of the ban inflicted upon my dear friend Luk Vervaet to enter Belgian jails to teach.
Luk who’s job is to teach at prisons will be consequently unemployed due to this decision. The reasons given by the Judge are those of Security of the state and they are not disclosed.
In other words Luk does not know officially why he is being laid off. Well I do know why: It is because he is an activist for human rights of prisoners even those accused of terrorism. Also because he is an activist for Palestine and the right of its people to Freedom and to resist their oppressor. Luk is also a convinced socialist and anti-imperialist and a staunch fighter for freedom of speech. But above all, Luk is a serious writer and thinker who can express his positions in a manner that penetrates the main stream and puts people to thinking. His integrity is undeniable and his motivations are pure, such people are a danger to a system that is based upon exclusion, racism and support to Imperialist world projects.
Luk Vervaet deserves our support both moral and material, we the oppressed and freedom lovers should stick together in a world ever more suffocating. You should not wait till the plague hits you to act, it is already at your door.

When you put in question the worldwide produktionsystem that is capable to extract the increasing richness for a handfull of people out of the billions of people who are in fact the real producers of those richnesses, when you can reveal the mechanisms, when you try to organise the workers to take in their own hands the whole production-system by “expropriation the expropriators”, when you cannot be pushed to accept”some” power, “some” beter income, “some” easier way of life, but then accept that the origins of that system (the colonial productionrelations by force put on the majority of humanity) remain untouched……then you are a threat for that system. And everyone that is considered as a serious threat of imperialism is considered by the state-organs of imperialism as a “terrorist”…..
The armed partisans, that in whole Europe were fighting fascism, were considered as “terrorist” by the collaborating state-organs, collaborating capitalists and collaborating “mainstream” media of the occupied nations. Karl Marx and Lenin were banned, because they were considered as “very dangerous”. Roberto D’Orazio, just a workers-leader, but not to buy (as a reformist) was already considered as a “criminal”.
Yourself also, because you could organise people, making them more conscious, staying stucked to anti-imperialism,….. for the imperialist state you are a “criminal”.
…. and what is cynical that the state is forcing Luk to PAY 1.200 euro, for their work of “criminalising” him!
Perhaps they want to make it (financial) impossible for him to take further juridical steps.
Perhaps there we have to collect some money to make it possible for him to go in appeal?
I, with several hunderds other workers(perhaps thousands) have paid for the processes of the union-men and workers from the Forges de Clabecq, who the class-justice tried to put them in jail as “criminals”…..But they won! (In fact principally you won also the case against you…)
Perhaps a person beyond all doubt, but relatively known publically, has to start an banc-account, so that people can give?
You are not in Belgium so it would be difficult, but perhaps Karim?
